Wild Mountains Songs
2017
After the success of 2016’s Wild Mountains Songs (success being beautiful songs were written, new friendship garnered, and everyone had a great time), we decided to do it again, and somehow unintentionally created a melting pot of some of Australia’s best punk rock songwriters, mixed in with abit of Hip Hop and R&B for good measure.
We were this year joined by Benjamin Hale (QLD), Bow Campbell / Front End Loader (NSW), Eddie Jacobson / Evil Eddie / Butterfingers (QLD) , Emma Bosworth (QLD) , Skye Staniford / We All Want To (NSW) , Robert Crook (QLD), Matt Cochran / Walken (QLD), Tamara Bell / Grieg / The Hits (QLD), and Yeo (VIC).
The Process
Songwriters were paired with a co-writer to complete a new song within 24 hours.
Each song was then be performed for the whole group, Brendan Watterson of Vast AV was behind the cameras and video editing this year.
