Founder of Wild Mountains Songs, and celebrated songwriter and environmental activist from Brisbane who is a self described “garage-folk” artist. A fluid femininity underpins her one-of-the-boys security blanket vocal punchiness, supported by cleverly angled melodies and re-invented rhythms that lands the listener in a nostalgic jukebox flutter, ready and willing for the next hook. With plenty of songs, gongs, spins and wins under her belt, she keeps life interesting by continually reshaping her work and mixing with new collaborators.
Emmy is best known as the fearless front woman of Brisbane pub-rock, indie-punk band The Cutaways. Emmy has grounded herself in her craft and her classic song writing style for some years now. Her sound teeters between the melodies and hooks of a classic rock tune one minute, but will leave you hanging from the rusty chains of a gritty minor-chord-croon the next. Soulful, and honest to the core.
Emerging from the shadows of Brisbane's northern suburbs comes singer-songwriter, producer, mou. His tracks layer rich emotional vocals and hypnotic guitar melodies that speak to the ebbs and flows of bittersweet nostalgia. For mou music is a way to cope with and find beauty in times of darkness. A way to make peace with the past and find a sense of self in the present. He draws on the beauty and organic warmth of electronic post-indie folk and is likened to artists such as Haux, RY X, Vallis Alps, LANKS and Vancouver Sleep Clinic. Currently working on an array of collaborative projects whilst beginning to showcase his much anticipated live show.
